Wood Turning is one of the traditional craft technique of Yamanaka Shikki (lacquer ware in Kanazawa Prefecture), using solid pieces of wood to form shapes. “Soji” means “the plain wood” before lacquer applied and this series features the beautiful character of the natural wood. “hako” means “the box” and it can be used in multiple ways that is perfect for storage of small objects like sewing set or accessories. It is also suitable for food so that it can be a lunch box or tableware for everyday use.

“col.”is the brand manufactured by HATASHIKKITEN using traditional techniques but with the concept of fresh idea. They are collaborating with young design duo “Mute”.

For Use
The urethane coating does not include any solvent, and is lead-free & odorless. The coating suits Japanese Food Sanitation Law.

Material
As the products are made of natural wood, there are individual differences of the grain pattern. Its texture can be change by the humidity or drying.
