n-crafts@metrocs

Background Information

METROCS established a new brand line "n-crafts@metrocs" in order to introduce present day traditional Japanese handicrafts.
n-crafts@metrocs follows METROCS's policy of introducing quality products in its tableware and fabric selections that make everyday a little bit better.

N of n-crafts means "native" and "next" and the main idea of the line is to introduce original products of traditional handicrafts in new forms.
The following are the selection criteria for the products:

  • * Recognized as a modern design product with sophisticated design
  • * Skillfully handmade in Japan
  • * Can be produced in large numbers even if the products differ from each other due to being handcrafted
  • * Made in traditional technique but introduced in new forms suitable for present times
  • * Possible to use in everyday life, reasonably priced
  • * Have not been distributed widely, outside the area the product was manufactured, before

Products of "n-crafts@metrocs" have roots in the past but have a present day feeling to them. With this line, METROCS wants to introduce handcrafted items that so far have been only known to a small audience.
